when i turn on my phone the email icon says i have -9 messages but when i access my email there are no messages How do I fix this
Mine says -1 and there are no emails! Help! How to clear this?
I had this for a while on my phone. I would get an email and it would show zero messages. If I deleted the message it would show minus 1 messages. I tried everything and finally just deleted the email box and reinstalled it and that fixed the problem. I think how it happened is I deleted a whole bunch of them real fast and the sync between my phone and the server couldn't handle that and the count got messed up.
Clearing Data and Cache might have helped.
Is this a POP, IMAP, or Other Service account?
Lets show that email who's boss, wiley8536! What email provider do you have? Is this happening with multiple email accounts? Yes! Removing my email account, and then adding it back took care of the problem. I think the problem is caused when you delete emails from your phone and from your computer almost at the same time, and then the re-syncing that the phone does messes up the indicator number of emails you have on your phone. Hard to explain.
