On both the Message + and the regular message icon, I am receiving double text messages from multiple contacts with different carriers including Verizon. How can I stop this?
First thing I would do is make sure date and time settings on your phone are correct. if not it can cause some issues with texts coming in. Settings > Date and time
If that's correct, you may want to try disabling one of the messenger apps in case the phone is receiving message notifications staggered between the apps.
I too would be frustrated if I was receiving duplicate messages, YANJIM65. Let’s get this figured out. When did this issue first start? What there any changes prior to this starting? What zip code?

Same here...S8+...following update
All texts are doubled for me, I only have one messaging app active, Message+
We don't want you to have the same issues, suntreenole. Let's look into this more. With regards to the text messages are you getting the duplicates from all the messages you receive or specific ones? What messaging application are you using currently?

Double texts can get annoying, JORTUR70. Are you using Verizon Message + or another messaging application? When did this start?
I'm using the verizon messenger I guess But everyone else could be the same or not but all having the same issue
