wi-fi is Consistently Scanning After Update

Besides the other issues everyone else seems to be having, quick battery drain (my phone battery goes from 100% to 15 % in less than 7 hours with no usage), the 4G icon stays in place when the phone is in wi-fi mode (I saw the fix for this on another post and did that for now), now I have noticed that my GPS and wi-fi are consistently scanning or updating.  Does anyone have a quick fix for this one yet?  Verizon do you?  I do not understand how Verizon when called says they have not heard of these issues before when I know 8 friends that have called in with similiar to same issues and all get the answer we are not aware of these problems.

Soooooo.... I called Verizon Customer Service for Tech Support.  I first spoke with Bridget and I explained the problems to her and when they started occurring.  First questions from her, did you drop your phone, have you  gotten it wet, does it have any damage?  I again explain it worked fine until the update.  She flipped through her screen for fixes to the most comon issues for about 20 minutes asking me to restart the device, go to options and click this and that.  She also stated we have no record of any of these issues occurring with other Verizon Samsung Customers.  I say okay just transfer me to Tech Support.  Got a great guy named Chad, couldnt help me although was very aware of the issues going on and even brought Samsung Tech Support on the line.  Her name was Carla, and she didnt know "SHIT"!  She wanted me to take my phone to a Samsung Experience Shop and have them save my information and flash my phone.  Problem is the only place is 65 miles from where I live.  She also said Samsung had no knowledge of these issues occurring either.  Chad came back on disconnected her and explained Samsung is aware and currently working ona patch for this and it should be out in 2 weeks.  Asked me to be patient and annotated in my account the wi-fi/4G issue in case I go over my data plan, which I never have.  He explained this would help in case it did go over in getting it resolved financially.  So I am patiently waiting from this point on for the fix.

Please post back in two weeks with the outcome.

Personally I think Samsung would have told you if they were working on a OS patch.

And if you use more data, I will bet your financial information if entered on your account will be conveniently missing.

Call me a synic but I think you have been shined.

Good Luck
