Most of my apps don't work over wifi, namely Instagram and Facebook. I've tried power cycling my router and that doesn't help. Everything loads immediately upon turning off my wifi. Pictures will sometimes still load over wifi, however if they do so it is at a snail's pace. I've also tried changing the wifi type to static although admittedly I have no idea what this does. Please help!

router speed is dependent on how fast your internet connection is.

download a couple apps: speedtest and wifi analyzer. speedtest will tell u if its a speed problem. wifi analyzer will give you info about your connection. the router may be too far away from phone, metal objects in wall blocking signal, or its getting interference from other nearby wifi networks. i use facebook over wifi and have no problems with it loading pictures posts or w/e
