How do I block my number when making outgoing calls?

I have a Samsung galaxy Note 4.

I do not have the caller ID option under advanced call settings.  Where is it?  The only options that show up are TTY mode and Hearing aids.

If it's on a call by call basis, dial *67 before the number. If you want to block all outgoing calls, you can go into My Verizon, Profile & Settings, Manage Share Name ID. With that option, you can have the caller ID of the person you're calling display whatever you choose ie: Wireless, Private etc. Remember if you block your number with *67, and the person you are calling has Anonymous Call Rejection, you will have to unblock your number.

Thank you for sharing this. My husband needed a way to block his number when calling tenants at the apartments he works for. It's a BAD idea for them to have his personal number.

I can understand not wanting the tenants to have your husbands personal number. As suggested, he can always dial *67 then enter the number he wishes to call. The words "Private" or "Anonymous" will pop up on that person's Caller ID (Calls to 800 numbers and 911 won't use Caller ID Blocking).

He could also block Caller ID on all of his calls. You can do that by adding the Caller ID Block feature on My Verizon https://www.verizon.com/support/caller-id-block-faqs/ (Question #3 under Blocking Calls).  KevinR_VZW
