Galaxy S6 is in a boot loop

my S6 started a boot loop today and has been stuck on the red Verizon screen. I have tried safe Mode and it didn't start and a regular boot and still last update was nougat a few weeks ago and an app also about three weeks ago. Since then there has been nothing new. whats happening?

Have you been able to get your phone in recovery mode Volume up - power - home. go down to clear cache partition using the volume down then press power button then use the volume down to say yes.

This will clear out all the old files and will not mess with your phone settings. If it doesn't work try
