I am having the same problem. I have visited the Blocks option under my Account and checked "Block all texts from email addresses" yet the texts from email addresses keep coming. I tried blocking by domain name as most are coming from hotmail. I added www.hotmail.com to blocked domain names and I got a message saying I couldn't block that domain name on my phone number. Also every time I check "block texts from email" and I go back to look at it it's unchecked again. And the spam keeps coming. I called Verizon customer service, waited on hold for over 40 minutes, and got someone I could barely understand who said he was fixing it for me. Two hours later, another spam text comes through.

My 12 year old son is received explicit sexual videos as a text from an email address. I'm pretty sure it's a felony to send pornography to minors. Verizon needs to get this fixed now. It's pretty ridiculous that they seem to be unwilling to fix this issue.

We're deeply concerned to hear of the messages your son has received. Due to FCC regulations, no carrier is able to screen calls and texts. To help protect him going forward we would recommend changing the phone number: https://www.verizon.com/support/change-mobile-number-faqs/ or enrolling in Smart Family https://www.verizon.com/solutions-and-services/verizon-smart-family/ which has the ability to only allow calls and texts from trusted contacts. We hope this is beneficial.

thankyou for replying - looks like none of us have a solution - neither does Verizon. I have a brand new samsung S20 5G that cost a lot of money and i cannot do the simplest thing - block an email. I really hope Verizon techs take a look at this problem and find a fix.

Getting unwanted messages is never fun and our goal is to help. I do wish there was an overall block we could add for this issue but you could try blocking them via your My Verizon account. If logged into the desktop version of My Verizon, hover over My Plans & Services at the top, then click Blocks. Click Block E-Mails and Domains, then under E-mail Address or Domain, type www.excite.com, then click Save. I do hope this helps.
