Family Bypass and Guest acct

I use a different app that my son bypasses by rebooting and switching to the guest account. Does Family prevent this or also monitors the guest account?

JSHANNY, being able to monitor the family’s activities on the phones is important these days. We are here to ensure you have all the information you need. With our Smart Family service the child app is downloaded to the phone and the parent app goes onto the parent phone. Once the apps are setup the person with the companion/child app will need to enter a specific code to remove or modify it on the device. The code can only be retrieved from the parent device. That doesn't answer my question. Once the child app is installed, does the

child app prevent the user from rebooting and using the guest account to

bypass the restrictions in place? That and how quickly does the app go into

effect after rebooting?

We apologize if we failed to directly answer your question. To address your initial question, we can only provide details on how the app will work within one profile on a device. If your concern is that your son will reboot the device to attempt to bypass your settings, we recommend ensuring the "guest" profile on the device also has access to the Smart Family app. The good news is that the app is immediately effective after the reboot has taken place.
