How do I stop receiving texts while in Mexico?

Traveling to Mexico and I'm afraid that my daughter may receive texts while we are there. I don't want to have to pay for each text she receives. Is there a way to block texting for a week?

Not an expert on this, but I think you can call customer service and ask them to put a block on the line for text messages before you go. Then when you get back from the trip call again and remove the block. If possible ask for some documentation, email or such, when you add and remove the block so you can compare it to the bill when it comes.

Or you could leave that phone at home and turned off. However I'm sure your daughter won't like that idea.
