Is there going to be a Message+ update that supports Mac Monterey? I just updated my 2015 MBP and it now instantly crashes on start. Even though it's always been a crashy product, I use it a lot on my MBP. I would not have updated to Monterey if I had known that Message+ would not work.
Thanks

We want you to get the most from the Message+ service, usmaak. Thanks for reaching out but sorry to hear about the issues after the update. Is the application updated with the latest version as well? What other issues have you been experiencing? Looking forward to hearing back. -Chris

I updated the application. I also deleted it and reinstalled it. It still crashes upon starting. I've always had stability issues with it. It crashes pretty often and gets very slow sometimes.

Updated Yes. Completely deleted and reloaded Messages + App with same results. What I am experiencing is the App will not open. Keeps generating an error report.

I was able to get it working on macOS Monterey (12.0.1) by changing this setting:
Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Contacts: Uncheck "Message+"
I can't see contacts's names anymore but the application does work again. The specific error messages in the console are:
error 10:46:21.061026-0700 kernel 5 duplicate reports for Sandbox: homed(548) deny(1) mach-lookup com.apple.AddressBook.ContactsAccountsService

The application appears to have the correct entitlement to access the address book so I'm not sure why this error is popping up.

That is allowing me to use the app again as well. Good catch. Now Verizon needs to update the app so that we have access to our contacts again. I looked and it's been a couple of months since Verizon updated the app so Monterey wasn't public yet but Monterey for software developers should have been available for them to do some testing.

Now that the app is running I've also noticed that it doesn't seem to be updating with new messages. All of the messages are from before the update to Monterey. Nothing new has come in.

It did finally update with the new messages but it crashed before that happened. After the crash, I reopened the app and the new messages were there.

Not sure why you need a private note. Message+ needs to be updated to make it work with MacOS Monterey. Allowing Message+ to access the contact list causes Message+ to crash.

I too cannot use Message+ with Mac on Monterey. Exact same problem. Just installed it, and try to open it and it immediately crashes and sends error report to Apple. If I deny contacts permission it will open, but I cannot attach it to my phone number as it just gives me an error after entering the PIN that I get via Text message.
This whole "let's move this offline" is not an acceptable response. We all are having this issue, the app clearly needs to be updated to work with Monterey.

Verizon support PM'd me but the message is somehow marked in such a fashion that I cannot reply. It was asking my device I'm using. The mobile device is irrelevant, I can't get far enough to even register the app with my phone/account, as soon as you open it it crashes.

No other app has been affected by this latest software update. The VERIZON MESSAGES + took the hit.

I had the same issue when upgraded to Monterey OS and here how I fixed it.
- Go to your System Preferences in your MAC.
- Go to Security and Privacy.
- There you see 4 tabs - Select Privacy tab and unlock the locked key on the bottom left corner.
- On the left panel SELECT CONTACT.
- On the right panel UNCHECK the Message+
- Restart your message+
This worked for me.
Apparently Apple Monterey OS doesn't want to allow message+ to have access to Contact in your MAC.
Best of Luck,
Kiumars
