When I go to Message+ on the web at https://web.vma.vzw.com/vma/web2/Message.do
Often it keeps on automatically reloading over and over again and I cannot send any messages. My only recourse is to logout the account at https://www.verizonwireless.com/ then close the web browser and re-open the browser and login back in. It's almost maddening to do this almost every time I need to check my text messages on the web. This is a very bad user experience.
We want you to have only the best user experiences, jaredev. Being able to view your messages online can certainly come in handy. We want to ensure we get this to work properly for you. Does this happen in multiple browsers, like Internet Explorer, Safari, and Chrome? Do you have the same issue when you log in via this link: https://login.verizonwireless.com/amserver/cdcservlet?realm=vzw&goto=https%3A%2F%2Fweb.vma.vzw.com%3A443%2Fvma%2Fredirect%3Fgoto%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fweb.vma.vzw.com%253A443%252Fvma%252Fweb2%252FMessage.do&refererservlet=https%3A%2F%2Fweb.vma.vzw.com%3A443%2Fvma%2Fredirect%3Fgoto%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fweb.vma.vzw.com%253A443%252Fvma%252Fweb2%252FMessage.do&MajorVersion=1&MinorVersion=0&RequestID=s429716537ad1b9aea5a533a20edf88c2cdaee816&ProviderID=https%3A%2F%2Fweb.vma.vzw.com%3A443%2F%3FRealm%3D%252F&IssueInstant=2019-01-04T19%3A04%3A25Z&ForceAuthn=false&IsPassive=false&Federate=false? I'm using the latest Google Chrome and this happens on Windows, MacOS, and Linux. I've had this issue ever since I was forced to switch to Verizon Message+ because I got the Palm.
That link you gave in your reply doesn't trigger the automatic reloading issue. I've updated my bookmark for this site to the working link.
Hello,
Unfortunately, the link you supplied didn't help any. The auto-reloading issue came back. Using the latest version of Chrome on Windows 10.
Thanks so much for trying, jaredev. Our goal is to ensure you are able to access the messages on the web without any added frustration. Thank you so much for doing everything you have done so far.

Can you access that link to install it on your computer again? I will also be sending you a Direct Message in order to gather more details from you that will help us get to the bottom of this concern for you.

I already uninstalled/installed the app. I'm not doing anything unusual beyond using the app and the website. It would save time for everyone involved if the engineers/developers simply used them regularly in production environment. It's very likely they will run into this issue within a few hours and be able to reproduce it themselves. It seems like the QA (Quality Assurance) and Acceptance tests weren't executed very well. I ran into this immediately when I switched to Verizon Message+ mobile app and the web interface without doing anything odd.
Appears to be something related to your account or your browser settings/add-on's. I am using Chrome (Version 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit)) on Windows 10 and not seeing any issues.
Close the tab then give it a while (few hours?). When you go back to open up the site again to check messages on the web, click on one of persons to bring up the list of messages with that person, it'll start reloading.
Already reproduced on several browsers on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Without extensions as well.
I am using Safari. Web messages will not appear. The site continues to reload and states to check back later. It has been 48 hours of the same message. Web messages are an extremely important part of Verizon’s service. Please get it up and running soon!
The inability in last few days to show messages is new and likely separate issue.
Okay, maybe so. Do your messages appear now? If so, maybe I need to call. Three other friends logged in and they see the same message, so it doesn’t appear to be specific to my account.
I do not get messages on the web anymore, this started recently.
I'm using Windows 7 PC for work and therefore can't download the desktop app. I have tried chrome, firefox and explorer. I have cleared the cache and the cookies on all three browsers.
the web app looks like its loading that page, however, a pop-up comes up saying "Your request failed, please try again later" - click Ok and it attempts to reload the page. "waiting for web.vma.vzw.com..." then I get a page that says Error "nginx" https://web.vma.vzw.com/vma/web2/Message.do?3JSBB6TB
This load error for the web app seems to recur pretty frequently about every 2 months or so. Remediation on my end never seems to help, it seems to need a fix on the VZW servers.
Here is a number I was given to call: 866-221-4096. If enough people call, maybe they will get it fixed. I just tried again, and I get the same thing as you. I wish they would fix it and leave it alone. I agree that there is an issue every couple of months.
Jaredev, we'd like to be able to look into this closer. Can you plpease confirm if this issue is only present when logging into the Verizon Message+ as the primary messaging app on your device?

This issue isn't on my device, it's on the web.

I've been experiencing the same issues as well, over the last 3 months. Today, it's timing out with the same error 'nginx". I've tried reloading the site multiple times on multiple browsers, and eventually the messages will just hang and not load. I depend on messages+ web version during the day. This doesn't happen on my device, just the web site. Please get to the root of whatever's making this site unstable and unreliable.
I've been having this problem for well over a year now. I only use the Verizon Messages web page because the Messages app does not work on my corporate computer due to our network (it's the only app that doesn't work for this reason). The page refreshing of the https://web.vma.vzw.com/vma/web2/Message.do page doesn't happen all of the time. Sometimes it refreshes constantly. Sometimes it waits until I type something before refreshing. Sometimes it just takes a click on a conversation. Sometimes it just constantly refreshes without any interaction at all.
So far, I can only say I've noticed the issue with Chrome, both on a Mac and a PC. I mostly use only Chrome, but a quick test in Firefox showed no issue.
Is this a known issue with the Verizon web app developers? Have they been able to reproduce this?
June and this issue still persists. Latest version of Chrome, all extensions turned off. (I work in IT, I've been troubleshooting and trying to resolve FOR DAYS). Tried multiple browsers, multiple operating systems, multiple networks. Cleared cache, cleared cookies, etc. Inconsistent, but definitely an issue on the site, not end user.
Let's get to the bottom of what's going on with the App for you. Please send us a Private Message for further assistance . GenevieveB_VZW
this is still a problem!! Your texting website is completely unusable. Instead of going top p[rivate messages post your solution here so we can all benefit. This is beyond frustrating!!
Yes. Still a problem. Now that Verizon is not longer supporting Message+ for Desktop, they are recommending using the web app. The web app is completely unstable as well.
This is extremely puzzling as to why Verizon does not wish to listen to its customers.
We certainly understand the frustration. It's important to have your messaging application function as it's supposed to. Please know that The Message+ Verizon Messages - Windows Desktop application is not compatible with Windows 10 computers. If you are not using Windows 10, please follow the steps below to report the issue:
Alternatively, you can submit the feedback by visiting one of the following Apps and selecting the option to email the developer:

Solution: use Microsoft Edge. No refresh problem. Works with default Edge settings; no mods needed!
I just saw this thread for the first time. I'm using Chrome on Win10 also and have had this annoying problem using https://web.vma.vzw.com/vma/web2/Message.do for eons. NOT the phone app, NOT the pc app, just the website used for messaging.
I type a long text message on that site, press Enter, then in the text box it says "Sending" forever and never actually sends the message. If I click on the refresh button, the page reloads and my message is gone.
PLEASE FIX THIS ABOMINATION.
Bryanator,
Being able to send your messages wherever you are is a big deal. I know how useful the web application can be and we want to make sure you can fully utilize it. How often does this happen to you? Does the same thing happen using other browsers?
AndrewT_VZW
I normally use only Chrome (77.0.3865.120), and it has been happening every day for some time on a Win10 platform. Today I tried it on Chrome and IE11 and the problem hasn't recurred for some reason. I will continue to try it throughout the day and will post again if the problem returns.
This was reported a YEAR ago and I'm having the same problem today. I'm a web programmer, and have to say, Verizon has some of the least user-friendly UX programming I've ever seen.
I was using their messenger app for Windows - but of course, they've removed it from the App Store, so when I re-setup Windows 10 on my office PC, it's no longer available - been trying to use the web app, but the above problem makes it almost totally unusable.
With all the tons of $$$ Verizon has, you'd think they'd spend some of it to research and conclude the - very common sense - effect of such a frustrating experience for their customers does not reflect favorably for their company. Alas, like so many other behemoths, Verizon obviously doesn't care about maintaining a positive experience in ALL their apps.
Happens to me too......Pretty lame that a company like verizon can't get this right......horrible, horrible, horrible - phone is soon to be replaced - won't buy verizon and might as well try apple. This issue with Message + and other issues have been going on for a very long time and verizon wants us to troubleshoot the application rather than being able to use the program efficiently....JOKE
Dear Verizon,
The web based Messenger + App DOES NOT WORK!!!!!
I know you know this because you have been told this for the last year plus, yet you refuse to fix would should be a quite fixable problem.
Texting has become mainstream business communication and for you to not support it in all of it's user platforms is beyond me. The UI is poor to start with, but if it would at least work I could garbage through it. It does not work.
I'll make a deal with you: you pay may me my hourly rate for my time that you waste and I will feel better about paying your wireless fees. Better yet, FIX THE APP! Better yet, give us back the stand alone Windows program, or Win 10 App.
I've been having this same issue. I've read through all 7 pages of this forum and I'm realizing that Verizon is a joke. They keep missing the point of what people are saying and keep saying the same thing over and over again, which does absolutely nothing for anyone. It's apparent that the agents are trained to read off of cards when certain issues arrive, and when 2 or 3 dozen people tell them that that solution did not work, the agents protocol is to just stick to reading the same card over and over again. They should just stop making any posts until they solve this issue with the web developers, because it's just making them look more and more like blockheads.
If everybody having this Message+ web access issue emailed the Verizon Messaging Team at verizonmessages at verizonwireless dot com then maybe we would get some response.
I've had this same issue on and off for over a year as well. It has worked reasonably well for a few months and I thought maybe Verizon had found the bug. Win 10 just completed an update and here we go again. I'm getting dizzy with the restarting. Yes, I cleared cache and cookies. After reading all 7 pages, I opened several tabs in both Edge and Chrome. That seemed to tame it at the moment. This is a repeat issue over the last year. I have called, emailed, posted messages on another thread. Zero improvement. I have to admit I did get a chuckle from the verizon response asked the user to take their device into the store. I'd like to see the faces of the store clerk if I took my desktop computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse into the store.
Verizon - please add me to the list of customers have the constant refresh issue. Chrome and Edge.
this seems never ending!! Over 1 year an no solution. I keep having to close browsers CHROME, FIREFOX, OPERA...THEY all have the same issue. Clear the cookies....restart. Nothing helps. Really verizon??? Get your programmers in order here. If this doesn't get resolved I will have my business account switched over to TMOBILE. They seem to be on top of things.
Happening to me too. Generic Chrome install, no plugins, Win 10.
So hit-and-miss as to whether this thing works right or not.
I did used to use the Windows App. Yes, it froze from time-to-time too--maybe once a week--but they've taken that down from the Windows Store so I cannot install on my new computer.
Wish there was a published API I could use in my own app.

The Win10 desktop app was removed from the Windows Store but the old v1.0.17.0 .EXE file has been available via Dropbox in previous posts.
We're sorry to hear about your experience as it relates to our Messenger + APP. Can you describe exactly what happens when you attempt to utilize this app? JoelD_VZW
Verizon - Please note that those of us reporting this issue are NOT using the app. We are using the web browser option. The exact one that you and several others keep pointing us to. It is the web browser that reloads again and again. It repeatedly without touching anything reloads and reloads and reloads.
Has anyone figured out a workaround to this issue.
I am unable to download the windows app on my work computer.
I am trying to use the web version of Message+. I get to it my logging into my verizion account and going to text online. I have tried Edge, Chrome and Internet Explorer. They all have the same issue with the page continuing to refresh on its own. Often it is hard to even get a message out.
The app version on my mobile (which is working just fine) is 6.9.4 on a S10+.
Is there a fix to this issue?
The solution is to use Signal so these people can't do this to you in the future.
merble, we want nothing more than for you to be able to use Messages+ without fail. I have provided a link below containing more details on how to access it via Windows. Make sure your computer is running on Windows 8 or 10. Also, keep in mind that your work computer may have firewalls preventing you from accessing Messages+. Have you tried accessing it via your home computer or a laptop?
Tell your incompetent bosses that they need to pull support for the mac, iOS, and Android versions and replace them with the web client too. Then maybe something will get fixed. The web client has been garbage from day one, and does not show the majority of messages sent. It is infinitely worse than the Windows version ever was.
