Can I send and receive texts from my Galaxy S5 over wifi only if Verizon cell/data service is not available? If so, how? I have tried but it doesn't seem to work.
psmorris,
We appreciate the additional details. For ant of the text messages to go through they will need a data connection on your phone. However, it is good to hear you are using the Verizon Messages app. You may actually send/receive messages through your pc/over WiFi. Check out more here:

Psmorris, let's get to the bottom of this and get this resolved. Which message application are you using? What exactly happens when you try to receive/send a text when connected to wifi? Are you disabling data service or are you experiencing concerns with your service in a specific location? Please share. Thank you. I downloaded and am using Verizon Messenger+. I'm in a building where I lose Verizon cell/data service but have a very good wireless internet connection. When I try to send a text it just says Sending, but does not go through. I tried to disable data service, but it did not help.
