Stop Message+ from Opening on Top of and Interrupting other Apps?

I have a Motorola Z2 Force and I would like to know how to change the way my phone displays newly received messages from the Verizon Message+ App. Currently, the new message opens on top of any other App I'm using, which interrupts and causes problems in those Apps. How can this be changed so that only a Sound and Notification Dot show, but the Message itself won't open on top of and interrupt other Apps?

That's a great question, STARLIGHT7378. In order to change this notification you will need to access the settings of the Message+ Application. Please follow these instructions : Message+ > Three lines at th top > Settings > Deselect Message pop up.
