Texting problem

I am unable to send or receive texts on my LG G2. I've been having this problem since about 7 this morning, it's now around noon. I spoke with customer service and she advised me to contact technical support but I'm away from home without a secondary phone. Is there anything I can do before I call tech support?

Yikes, I am sorry to hear your phone is not allowing you to send or receive messages. Let's get it to behave as it should be, what's your zip code? Are you able to send and receive calls without any problem?

What I do with my G2: remove SIM, power down, reinsert sim, power on. Refreshes network. Just slide the tray out a bit, dont have to take it all the way out.
