Texts are sent to me and do not open. They are labelled "Download". When I click on "Download" a "Downloading" message appears for about one minute, then reverts back to "Download". The texts sometimes to not open until HOURS and sometimes DAYS later. What is the problem???
Do you have an active 4G or 3G cellular connection when this issue occurs?

It is an active 4G connection.
One text the other day was 7 lines long and did not open until a day later.
What make/model phone do you have? What messaging app are you using?
Me too. Happens on my LG G4, happened on my old S4 and now has happened once or twice on the S5 I use for work. If that continues I will be switching plans, as I can't miss those work texts. There are like 10 threads about this. Figure it out Verizon!
All my settings are normal with both data and WiFi connected. I've restarted phone, wiped cache, etc. I won't wipe my entire phone cause that's too much to ask to get a text.
