Verizon Messaging Group

I upgraded my phone to a Samsung S9+ and now Verizon Messaging app is not working for group text. It only shows downloading for the other individuals in the group text.

I have tried reinstalling the app, clear the cache, and clear data to no avail. What could be causing this issue?
