Verizon messaging not working

Why is the Verizon messaging app not working? Each time I try to access it, it pops up saying "message+  keeps stopping" I've tried all kinds of troubleshooting but nothing seems to work. How do I fix this?

I want to make sure that you are able to utilize your messaging application, Morgan10. What model of device do you have and what steps did you perform? I want to make sure that we avoid any steps that you have already performed.

It's working now. I had to uninstall the updates, but even that didn't

initially work. So I just stopped using it for about an hour or so, cleared

the cache, and for some reason a little while later it started working

again. I don't know what fixed the issue because I tried everything it

seems like. Thanks for responding days later, I guess.

Mine hasn't worked all day Samsung S6 (yeah I know I need an upgrade). Seems there was an upgeade yesterday that caused this.

I know how much I rely on my messaging app to communicate with my friends and family. There was a problem with Message + (Verizon Messages) a couple of days ago that should now be resolved.

Please let me know if you are still having problems once you go to (settings > apps & notifications > Verizon Messages > upper right corner 3 dots > uninstall updates).

My texts haven't sent in two weeks, all updates are updated, I have cleared caches and [removed] and still nothing.

Profanity removed as required by Verizon Wireless Terms of Service​.

What make/model phone/device are you having issues with?  What is the version of Message+ installed?

Clearing the cache was a great place to start, Jayceemacey93. I’m sure that you are frustrated with your messages having trouble for so long. I would be too. So let’s take a closer look at what’s going on with your text messaging specifically. Can you please chare the model phone you’re using? Are you receiving messages successfully? If you’re not seeing the same error as the original poster, can you please share more details on your experience?

Mine is doing it too . The app keeps closing. I can reply if some texts me but if I go to open the app itself it closes. I've sent multiple feedback messages addressing this .

Cleared cache don't wish lose messages so don't want clear data think that erase everything

Appears to be Android related as my iPad Message+ app is working fine.

Also, my desktop app continues to work fine as well, so those of you who need it should use the desktop app or log into the web site browser app to access Message+.

Just my Droid Turbo 2 app fails to open, but it gives the option to SEND FEEDBACK which EVERYBODY SHOULD DO!!! It sends an email along with the system logs to verizonmessages at verizonwireless.com which is the Messaging Team.

I'm on a Note 8 

Seems this is major issue not our devices 

I did the report thing several times when the 

App not working box came up 

Hopefully fixed soon

I always use my own Messaging application constantly, I can imagine how stressful this must be.  We are to help turn this around ASAP.  This post shows that it was sent two days ago.  Are you still experiencing this same issue with your Message +?

I am sorry that is happening and we know how important text messaging is. Are you still having this same issue? If the answer is yes, we would like for you to uninstall the Message plus app and then reinstall and power your device off and on again.
