It might have moved into the Verizon Messages option.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Being able to text online can come in handy, moojjoo. Ann154 is correct. You will now use Verizon Messages as your online texting. When you log into your My Verizon at that link, does it give you the option to continue with Verizon Messages?

NicoleB_VZW, Are you saying the Send a Message option from the My Verizon website when using a PC/Laptop is no longer available? There is still a link for Web Texting via My Verizon->My Plans & Services->Send a message at https://web.vma.vzw.com/vma/web2/Message.do and appears to be working now.

SylviaT_VZW, It would help if someone in Verizon Technical Services would identify once and for all what has been causing this issue for so many of us.

For my great work on letting Verizon know and my long time customer
commitment can you please tell Santa to send my family upgraded devices for
Christmas. It has been very rough year since August after losing my job.
In order to stay committed and pay my bills even to Verizon, I had to take
a full liquidation of my 401k just to pay the bills. Thankfully God,
blessed me this month with a new job in my field. Please, please talk to
Santa for us for the following:
Robert - Samsung S8+
Suzanne - iPhone 8 256GB
Emma - iPhone 8 256GB
Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year and remember the reason for the
season.
Robert [removed], Jr. aka moojjoo

The web text client is not working, today. It was a few days ago. After logging in, I get the following text. I work in a location that gets almost no cell service, I need for this to work, and I don't use Windows or Mac:

I definitely understand the significant role our messaging services play in our day-to-day life, and it would be difficult to be happy with anything that's not working.
Allow me to gather some clues to turn this experience around.
In step 2 of this link, there is a portion that states "Text Online" https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-217522/
Clicking that what do you see?
Also, you mentioned that you work in a location with limited coverage. Has the service there been look into before? Is maybe Wi-Fi available there?

ajnewton,
We want you to have the best experience with our connectivity apps. Verizon Messages is a great tool, and I am confident we can get to the bottom of this error. Can you please clarify what type of device or platform you are trying to use Verizon Messages with? The following link details the compatible platforms beneath section 1 of "Compatibility and Customization": http://spr.ly/66021GOGG

You're going the wrong direction in this troubleshooting.
I am attempting to access my text messages on the web, from a web browser. Doesn't matter right now what kind of device. But to be complete, I am using Firefox or Chrome browser on a Linux computer. This worked fine last week and for many years prior. It does not work today because someone made a change on the web site. I initially connect using the URL https://vtext.com, which redirects to the link you referred me to in the troubleshooting step. I gave you the result. Someone turned off this service on the web. I need it back. If I could do this on my phone, I would, but I can't for the reasons I've already given.

Yes, it appears that the service was restored by Wednesday (yesterday, the day after I posted the offline report). Thank you.
Please let those in charge of that service know that Linux users must also be considered when deciding to make global changes to web services. Thank you.

In addition to poor cell service, we are not allowed to connect personal devices to the corporate wifi.
