lg cosmos touch graphics missing

I have read the other VW customers having lost their graphics as well. I contacted LG and their comment was to contact V W. I contacted V W and they said it must have been that I must have done an update on my phone. My phone says there are not any updates currently available. Does anybody know if there is a way to retrieve the small graphics back? It's sounding like I need to be happy that there are the large ones still...I just had fun with all of them and sure would like to find a way to get them back , if at all possible??????????

Hi. With the latest update, the performance of the device was improved. However, with this change, the Emoticon display was also updated and cannot be reverted back to any previous software versions. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I cannot send or receive ANY smiley faces or graphics on text...... this can't be ok. What is the problem??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
