Upgrading to ad free versions of Disney+ and Hulu?

I am reposting this thread for others, as I could no longer reply to the original one. I was trying to determine if I could upgrade the current $10 Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ bundle to ad-free versions of the streaming services, after having the Play More bundle that had ad-free Disney+. I received numerous conflicting answers from Verizon, but upgraded the phone anyway, as it was long overdue. I can now definitively say you CANNOT upgrade to ad-free versions of the streaming services, at least not at this time. Some Verizon representatives told me you could upgrade through your Verizon account, which is not true. I was told by other Verizon representatives that you could upgrade through your Disney+ account, which is also not true. Your Disney+ account links you back to your Verizon account. I also called Disney+ and they told me the only way to make changes to your account when subscribing through a third party was to do so via that third party. The best option is to cancel the $10 bundle from Verizon and sign up directly through Disney+. You can get Disney+ without ads for $15.99, Disney+ and Hulu without ads for $19.99, or Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ all without ads for $26.99. I rarely use ESPN+, so $19.99 for Disney+ and Hulu without ads is the way to go. $10 more than the Verizon bundle and no ads on either, which is nicer than the Play More bundle that had ads on Hulu.
Not the answer I wanted, but hopefully this will help others avoid all the nonsense I went through to get to this point.
Here is the original post, for reference:
I am currently on grandfathered line plans including Play More, which gives you the Disney Bundle for free. Disney+ is ad free and Hulu and ESPN+ have ads. The phone on that line is long overdue for an upgrade but I would need to switch that line to a new plan that doesnโt include the Disney bundle. I could add the $10 Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ perk, but then everything has ads. Is there a way to upgrade Disney+ or Hulu (or any of the streaming services through Verizon) to ad free versions? I got conflicting answers from customer service; one said no one said yes, but didnโt know how or how much it cost. There also appears to be conflicting information online. I read posts, including on Verizonโs website, that provide instructions on how to upgrade Hulu, although that may not have been the current $10 perk. The Verizon page linked below tells you how to switch to Hulu without ads, but that FAQ page is for the Disney bundle for Play More and Get More. I havenโt seen any information about upgrading to ad free Disney+. I have seen a post, also linked below, that suggests you cannot upgrade to Hulu without ads. Does anyone have a definitive answer? I think Iโve held onto this plan for as long as possible, considering the phone on that line is an iPhone 8, so Iโm just trying to get all the information before making a change. Thanks.

Verizon-billed subscribers are not able to switch Hulu plans or sign up for add-ons.* If youโre interested in making any of these changes, youโll want to end your current Disney Bundle subscription and resubscribe directly through Hulu.

If you had the Disney Bundle through Hulu or have already subscribed to Hulu (with Ads) and used the same email address you use for Hulu for the Disney Bundle, you can sign up for Hulu services & perks at any time through hulu.com/account or via Hulu Customer Service. Your Hulu bill will be credited for the Disney Bundle or Hulu subscription, depending on the service to which you previously subscribed.
If you purchased the Disney Bundle through Disney or have already taken the Disney Bundle included in your plan, follow these steps to add Hulu (With Ads) to your bundle:
- Cancel the Disney Bundle:
- Go to Services & perks in My Verizon.
- Scroll to Manage My Services & perks.
- Click Cancel in the Disney+ tile.
Note: If you have the Disney Bundle included in your plan you will be able to re-enroll in the bundle at a later step in this process. If you have the Disney+ Premium (No Ads) promotion you will not be able to re-enroll and receive the rest of your 6-months free. - Sign up for Hulu (With Ads):
- Visit Hulu's sign-up page.
- Select sign up now.
- Create your account and purchase your subscription (use the same email address you are using for your Disney Bundle through Verizon).
- Re-enroll in the Disney Bundle included in your plan:
- Go to Services & perks in My Verizon.
- Click View all Services.
- Click Disney Bundle.
- Choose Get it now and follow the prompts.
- Sign in to your account and activate the Hulu subscription

This is such a scummy bait & switch verizon and disney ๐
Verizon needs to at least fix this in the FAQ page.
