Has anyone actually received the Costco gift cards? If you did, how long since line activation did you have to wait to get it?
When switching to Verizon during Black Friday deals in November 2023 at a Verizon kiosk at Costco, I was told about the Costco gift card deal that gets you an e-gift card for $250 per line after 90 days from account activation. I was told that the e-gift card would be automatically sent to my email. However, it’s been 5 months and I still have not received anything. Since my last post, a customer service rep sent a PM and informed me that for this deal on top of waiting 90 DAYS from account activation, you have to wait another 14 WEEKS to receive this e-gift card. When I replied asking for an official link or document that shows all the conditions surrounding this promotion, they stopped responding. When I call Verizon customer service, they tell me there was no such promotion during the time I activated my account. I feel like Verizon makes this unnecessarily hard for customers to get the promotions they were promised, and when asked about official documentation of the promotion, they fail to provide anything.
Seems like my wife and I are also victims of the Costco shop card fallacy. Verizon kiosk agents at Costco promised within 90 days, and then were gone in about 60. Costco won’t help and there are no longer Verizon employees at our Costco. Very disappointed
