After three years with Verizon, I can confidently say this company has serious accountability issues. When we upgraded to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, we traded in our old phones under a promotion promising an $800 credit per line. We met every requirement — but the credits were never applied.
Over the past year and a half, I’ve called customer service multiple times. Each time, I was told a claim would be opened to fix the issue, yet none were ever filed or documented. Every call starts from zero because you never speak to the same person twice, and there’s no record of prior conversations.
We’ve now paid the full retail price for the phones — $1,200 each — while Verizon kept our trade-ins and failed to honor their own promotion. I’m looking forward to switching carriers and warning others to read the fine print carefully before trusting Verizon’s trade-in offers.
