Device Trade-in Promo Credit

I have multiple billing cycles until my iPhone 14 Pro is paid off through my device trade-in promo credit.

I want to pay for an iPhone 13 in full through the Apple Store app and simply transfer the eSim (data and phone number) of the 14 Pro to the 13. I don’t plan on trading in the 14 Pro or returning it.

I want to keep both phones and let the 14 Pro continue to be paid off through my device trade-in promo credit, but have the service I pay for on the 13.

Is this possible? Will my bill remain unchanged? Do I have to pay off the 14 Pro beforehand?

Excellent question, vt1112. We're happy to shed some light on your concerns. As long as the line that is receiving the promotional credits remains active, your promotional credits will remain in place. The only time that a remaining balance is billed to the account is if the line has been disconnected. You can definitely activate a different device on the line, and the most important factor is for the line itself to remain connected. We hope this helps!

Thank you so much for responding!

In the Apple Store app, when I get to the Connectivity section,  the Verizon option says, “Replace this iPhone on my existing Verizon account.”

Then, this screen appears.

If I go through with this option, will my device trade-in promo credit be taken away? Will I be charged the outstanding $700?
