I was looking to upgrade my IPhone X for aniPhone 16. I CLEARLY explained the condition of my iPhone X to the rep. I’ve owned this iPhone X for several years. That battery wasn’t the same as a brand new X, but that’s to be expected. My iPhone X was in excellent condition. - I explained to the rep that I needed a cheaper payment after the trade-in and he/she said “no problem”. In fact, rep proceeded to say, “with your trade in you will get an iPhone 16 at a slightly lower payment than you’re paying now.” So, instead of $119/month, it would be $112 a month. I was in disbelief.
So, after I signed the contract this swindler rep hung up immediately. No “goodbye”, no “it was a pleasure doing business with you”, no “have a good day”, the rep just dropped me once that commission was in their pocket. Basically, he/she hung up once the contract was signed.
So of course, guess what happened? “Oh, your trade-in is not worth what we estimated, so your first payment will be $159, thereafter, $134 for 3 years. This is not fair.
What happened to the lower payment I was promised due to the fact that I’m on the brink of bankruptcy? It was completely ignored? This was the REP’s fault for providing a bad estimate to begin with. I was completely transparent describing my phone’s condition. By the way, considering the age of my old iPhone X, it’s in EXCELLENT condition. Was Verizon expecting a brand new iPhone X in 2025??
I want the payment of the original agreement, $112 a month. I’m not falling for or putting up with these d3ceptive tactics. I’m not going to pay over $130 a month.
Can someone please help me? This was completely unfair, and I knew this was going to happen when that insincere rep hung up on me.
