Store trade in issue

I upgraded to a new phone and have a promotional trade in ($830) to be dropped off at store.  Drop it off and the rep handed me a receipt showing $260 trade in in gift card.   She said there is a system error and it will self correct to $830.   Go home nd immediately call CS and found out the store rep cancelled my trade in.

 I am not sure she is planning to cover her act next.  But Verizon CS quickly corrected it on my account.  

I will never step in a Verizon store ever again.

just to add that I did not get the gift card.  It is only shown on the receipt.  Anyway, CS escalated the case.  We will see.  There were multiple store reps standing together through out the whole event.  I think they are in it together.
