Trade-in Promo

Customer service has gone down hill so much. I've been with Verizon for I think like 18 years now. Ever since they outsourced their customer service, I have had so many issues. My problem right now is, when trading in my last phone, they told me the trade in would be X amount with the current promotion, when they received it, although it was in perfect condition, they decided to give me significantly less for my trade in. When I contacted them, they ended up saying they made a mistake and I would get a refund for the 294 dollar discrepancy. Then they gave me a month where they didn't charge me, so great, we're square. Then like three months later, they hit me with a bill over 600 dollars to take that money back once again. I have contacted Verizon five or six times over this matter and have been promised a refund every single time and have never received it. This has been a battle for months. T-Mobile is looking like a better option for my family plan at this point. I'm so sick of it. I've paid so much money over the years, and they can't even make this mistake right. It's really sad to be loyal to a company for so long, only for them to not care at all.

Kirsten, sorry to hear about the trade-in issue.  Unfortunately, the final value of a trade-in is determined by whomever receives and assesses the trade-in at the warehouse, and not the salesperson in the store or a bot in an app.  If you have all the relevant details concerning your old phone and all the shipping information, maybe someone could track down the old phone and see if there wasn't some kind of mix-up or reevaluate the old phone.  But it wouldn't surprise me if it's a case of "it is what it is". ๐Ÿ˜ž

It's your decision, but the other guys all charge around the same ballpark for service, so going to Pink Logo Place wouldn't be saving you that much?  Not to mention that your Verizon phones might not even work there.
