I got this email from Verizon today. I feel I was conned. The store gave me many assurances about the value of my trade-in, an iPhone 12 Pro: $850.00. Now they are stating my value is $65, and the reason is that "Device was not active on traded promo account for the required 60 days".

I got this same email from Verizon on 5/20/25. I ALSO feel I was conned. My device, an iPhone XR, was in use on my account since fall 2019! They quoted the value at $31 and stated -
We’ve reviewed your trade-in device for order number 17112297. The device didn’t meet all the requirements of the original trade-in estimate, so the actual trade-invalue had to be adjusted. Reasoning - “Device was not active on traded promo account for the required 60 days
