So I traded in my old phone about 2 months ago, the lady that assisted me guaranteed us the $800 trade in discount. I did asked for the estimated monthly payment if I did not do the trade in which wasn’t that bad too but I got too excited with the discount and ended up doing the trade in.
couple weeks after the trade in credit wasn’t still seen on their online app so I did went back to Verizon and luckily it was the same lady and of course she told me that my phone is eligible for the $800 trade in and to give it few more weeks to be credited.
jumping to present times, I got my bill and it significantly increased about $90 of additional payment compared to my usual bill. I am so confused to why it increased that much, if I didn’t do the trade in I would just end up paying around $40.

There's 2 potential issues here:
-Your trade in may not have been processed for some reason, so then the trade-in credit never appears on your bill.
-I'm willing to bet that $800 promotion is for up to $800 on a trade-in, not that everyone signing up will automatically get $800. If everyone could get that much, we'd all be bringing in random devices which are (pick one or more) ancient, broken, or super cheap and getting free money.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
