Verizon said my trade in value was adjusted by $600?
my phone was perfectly fine and I would never have traded it in if they were going to pull this.
is there anything I could do to get my own phone back? I would have never agreed to this if I thought there was a chance they would pull this.

I'm pretty certain the website says there isn't a way to get your old phone back after it's been traded in. Sorry to hear you didn't get the offer you were expecting...Verizon really needs to update the wording on their trade-in promotions to say "up to X for your trade-in" IMO.
