Trade in with promotional credt outstanding

Hoping I can get an answer here.  I tried to chat, but it didn't work. I'd like something in writing, especially a link to a policy if available.

Two years ago, I upgraded to the S22 Ultra on a deal that includes a 36 month finance along with 36 months of promotional credit, so long as I stay on the Get More plan, which I am happy to do.

SO, now the S24 comes out and Verizon has a nice upgrade offer on the Samsung website. I'd like to upgrade. It will requirement to stay on the Get More plan, and pay $8 a month over 36 months.

So, my question is this: so long as I stay on get more, will the other charges/credits keep going? If I try to upgrade on the Verizon website, it won't let me, unless I pay the remaining 14 months. But this is a third party site and I'm agreeing to both keep paying for the plan and to pay for the new phone (albeit with a generous discount).

It seems weird that I wouldn't be able to buy a new phone (and give Verizon more money) so long as I keep up my end of the bargain of maintaining the plan. I could turn the phone off and never use it again. But I suspect it won't be that clear, even if I'm hoping it is!

Is there a written policy on this somewhere that I can read? Thank you!

Thank you for clarifying mrisch1. Can you share with us the details of the offer that you are reviewing for Verizon on Samsung's website? Also, a mobile number can only have one device payment at a time. That is why you would see the request for payment on your My Verizon online. If you still owe monthly payments toward your current device, that device would need to be paid off in order to purchase a new device with a new device payment.

mrisch1 We can provide some assistance with this question. When you are looking at this offer, does it ask you to log into your Verizon account? ~Peter

Well, that answers my question! I guess S25 it is, as I will have at least 12 more "payments" until this promo credit runs out. That's sort of a bummer.
