I can not begin to express how angry i'am with Verizon at the moment, for wasting my time, money, and patience. so furious that i'm going to t-mobile this afternoon to open an account with them cause i just can't take iit at verizon any longer. here's what's going on;
wanted to see about possibly getting the new iphone so called into verizon customer service to ask questions about the new iphone and check on any possible promotions. spoke with a lovely young lady by the name of Noe i believe. she actuallty informed me that my iphone was eligible for an upgrade which i didn't know anything about. ive been a customer with verizon for almost 2 yrs and have had the same iphone since then. so any type of upgrading with trade in on financed devices with verizon is all new s to me and was right up my alley! especialy since i was under the assumption that i was gonna have to pay for the new phone upfront. anyway, long story short; the young lady @ customer service informed and enlightened e of the news of my upgrade eligibility, got me setup with the new iphone pro max 16 in gold which she informed me that i would get in 2 days,. also got my current device setup for tradein which was to be sent in after i recieved my new device which makes it way easier for me. also waived my next day shipping cost and activation fee, while billing me for the remainder of the cost of the new iphone miinus my trade in. only having to pay sales tax today on the phone. though when i initially called in, i had no plan or wasn;'t intending on spending any money, just wanted to ask a couple questions and receive information. that didn't end up happening and i ended my conversation with the agent with a new iphone that i would get fedex in a couple of days and spending just over $100..
2 days go by and no fedex at my door, which i kinda figured it wouldn't be on time.. 2 more days go by, still no phone. follow that up with, 2 more days and still nothing. meanwhile in those 6 days, i probably called Verizon customer service a total of 3 times, trying to get info as to when my phone would arrive. the info that i received int those 3 calls was 1. my phone hadn't been shipped out yet and there was a problem with shipping on the parcel carrier's end and that i would recieve an email with tracking info, shipping/arrival date etc... 2.nd call with an agent completley ignored/didnt care to answer/hear my reasonings for calling in and just tried to sell me on getting verizon home internet installed at my home, which i can't begin to tell u how incomprehensible that conversation went. and finally over a span of about 5 or 6 days my 3rd call was similar to my first call but a lot less informative and was basically told there was a shipping issue. so of course by this time i'm a little irritated at what i believed to be Verizon's new way of doing business of promising to be efficient, reliable and standing out from the pack of the other competitor mobile companies out there, which was entirely the exact opposite of that in all forms. finally after over 9 days of eagerly and patiently which turned to impatiently waiting for my new ipnone, i was informed by text message/personal emaiil/verizon app messaging that "after careful review, consideration, and checking of my most current credit history, that i was unfortunately DENIED financing on the iphone. now what kind of early upgrade is that??? i can't believe that such a huge global company was giving me nothing but 100% fabrications, misinformation, and stringing me a long with the promise of recieving something for being a loyal customer for 2 yres and to show there appreciation of my loyalty by giving me a early upgrade on my phone and just for it too not even happen caue all they did was attempt to just get me to bsicaly purchase a new phone financed through them, which was the last thing iwas wanting to do with verzon again. if i knew that it was gonna have my credit checked for a second time to finance a new phone, i would have told them "no thank u" cause i didn't wanna be paying them for another 2-3 yrs to pay off a new phone like i had already been paying for the past 2 yrs on my current phone while they make so much money off the intrest, especially when i was expecting to pay out of pocket for it when i was ready. not one time was i told that it was gonnna be another credit check on my financial history, cause if i was informed of that i would have kindly rejected any "early upgrade" wishless assumptions cause i can pay for the iphone myself, and not to mention that it negatively impacts my crerdit score when i apply for financing on a new mobile device just to not ultimately not be approved for it.. so then my finncial endevours are being negatively effected by something that is outta my hands cause of the comletely fabricated "early upgrade" story that i was told, which would, to my knowledge has nothing to do with another credit history check on me with the trade in on my current device. and regardless, it was never brought to my attention by ANYONE that my credit was gonna have to be checked for this and for them to deliberately not inform me of that and then do it all the while making my current credut standing be effected negativey/and go down makes this not ok, not to mention be told that i wasn't getting my upgrade and my money for the down payment was gonna be refunded back to me.. making this entire process a waste of time, completly avoidable if verizon employees werent making up and giving out incorrect information to stall tenure customers with promise of them showing there appreciation of my loyalty by "upgrading" me early and trade-in, just to, not one time tell me my credit history was gonna be checked again to finance my new "upgrade" that didn[t end up happening which impacts my financial future. IF I WOULF HAVE KNOWN THAT THIS WHOLE SCENARIO WOULD HAVE BEEN EFFECTIVE, ONLY AS LONG AS MY CREDIT SCORE OR PAST WAS HAVING TO BE CHECKED OR LOOKED AT, then i would have not wasted anyones time at verizon cause it wasn't not only gonna probably be approved cause of my personal knowledge or my own money/credit wouldnt' be sufficient enough nor would i wanna give off the vibe of attempeing to be loaned money for something that i knowingly can't afford throuugh my own credit, which would make an d now thanks to current verizon eployees, appears to other companys or banks etc appear in a not so genuine/respectable/honest/inteligent/appreciative and knowledgable demeanor that i pride myself in being. verizon has decided to make me appear the exact opposite of that, which is just so wrong that i cant even express into words how this had me feel at the end of the day. so thst is why i wikl no longer be doing business with verizon as of today. especally when after discussing this ratchet experience with the people up the street at tmobile whom seem to know hpow to listen and effectivlyand honestly run a business cause they willingly gave me the exact offer that mirrored Verizon's lying too good to be true hardly effective wisful thinking joke of a hansome offer. but with the exception, t-mobile actually followed through with what they said. nor did it feel as if i was being misinformed or at the end of the day after its all been said and done, no surprises/hidden outrageous tactics.. ultimatly making tmobile's promise being kept unlike my experience with verizon. so for me, switching it up and on over to t-mobile is a no brainer..
