trade-in process

Question

When ordering a new iPhone and initating  a trade-in, do I must trade-in the device that is currently active on the line/account, or can I trade-in a device that is not currently active under Verizon service.

Iin other words, we want to upgrade from iPhone 12 Pro to 15, but instead of trading-in the iPhone 12 Pro, we want to trade-in iPhone 11 Pro that is used by someone else under a different carrier.  Thanks

Great question! You actually can trade in any device as long as i qualifies for the specific promotion you are looking for. The device does not have to be active on your account in order to be traded in. You can get more information here: https://www.verizon.com/trade-in/faq/ ~Geo
