I have a teenager that's gone rogue. I want him to have the ability to call, but that's it. Is there a way to do this? For safety reasons I don't want to turn his phone off completely. Any suggestions?
TIA

We understand how important it is to manage your child's data usage. The good news is that we do offer a feature that provides these options. Verizon Smart Family can help you manage data usage, internet streaming, set trusted contacts, and more. Please let us know if this helps!

I have a similar issue and used Verizon Smart Family for a while but recently stopped because the VPN always slowed the phone down and caused other glitchy issues. Isn't there a way to control the data plan remotely without having that VPN active?

If you only want your child to have talk/text access only, what about getting them a flip phone and using the prepaid talk/text only plan? If that's not an option, there is a way to passcode lock app downloads on iPhones for example, so I'd check elsewhere on the internet to see if other alternatives to Verizon Smart Family would work.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
