can someone retrieve text transcripts of deleted texts?
VzW only keeps about the last 10 days' worth of text messages and to get copies requires a court order.
like if I have a friend that works at Verizon can they get copies of text transcripts or does there have to be a court order? Is there also some kind of hack or something to get them?
Ok.. So even they know someone who works there they can't just get them for somebody right?
No, they cannot. As noted in the earlier post, the requests require a court order.
Ok. Thanks so much.
Ip101, the content of your text messages are protected with us! All requests for text message content must be made through an attorney or court and made exclusively to the Verizon Law Enforcement Resource Team at 800-451-5242. Please be advised that text message details older than 90 days are no longer available on our network.

Thanks Lasina. But content is only there for like 10 to 14 days right? So if there is no case filed yet by the time there is most likely the actual content of the messages will no longer be there right?
If the context of the texts ended up being shown, would it only show the texts for the number under the subpoena and not the other number?
I can certainly clarify, lp101. The content of a text message is generally stored in our system for a maximum of 10 days. It is of the utmost importance to get the court order or subpeona to us as soon as possible because deleted text cannot be retreived. If the message has been deleted and the text was sent/received further back than 10 days, then My Verizon does keep a record of the sending/receiving number and date/time of each message for 90 days but it does not include the actual context of the message.
I'd higly recommend considering Verizon Messages going forward to view up to 90 days of content for syncronized messages. It does sync in real time though, so a text deleted on the phone will delete from Verizon Messages. It does, however, offer the option to save conversations as a back up on compatible devices to ensure you have a record of important text messages. Find out more at www.vzw.com/verizonmessages.
