Hi since yesterday my emails that I'm forwarding to my phone are not arriving to the phone!
I see the emails in my sent folder in gmail but it ends there!
Anything that i can do to fix the issue?
I have the same issue!
Emails from Gmail are being sent but never arrives to phone...
Im struggling with the same issue since Wednesday!
The last 2 days vzwpix and vtext are fully down.....
shmuel3641, we'd love to help take a closer look into this issue regarding Vtext. Please tell us, is this affecting all e-mails or only certain e-mails that you send to @vzwpix? To clarify, are you sending these messages from a personal e-mail account? If so, do you recall making any recent changes to your e-mail account? We definitely appreciate any additional information you can provide.
LauraF_VZW
Im sending it from my gmail account and i didnt make any changes and since Wednesday im not receiving it!
shmuel3641, it is odd to hear that this is occurring. Do you have another email address to test out to see if it sends from that one (not your Gmail one)? Does the same thing occur?
ChristineK_VZW
YES! I tried with a few emails and on a few verizon phone numbers.....
I asked around and my friends do have the same issue...
samson44, we want to make sure you are receiving all of your important emails. let's continue to investigate. When did this start? Are you able to access all of your emails from a computer? Which email application are you using? Also, may we have the Make/Model of your device?
Since Wednesday...
Im actually receiving emails now that has been sent out 3 days ago!
And its for sure a issue with Verizon as i noticed a lot of complains here on the forums about this issue!
There was a temporary problem delivering your message to [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] Gmail will retry for 47 more hours. You'll be notified if the delivery fails permanently.

Any plans to fix the issue?
Did you locate the issue already?
Sending to @VTEXT fails for us, we used @vzpix successfully, but wed don't know if it will be reliable or not.
Our senders are from various addresses, both Gmail, and Microsoft addresses . The recipients vary.
I am sorry for the delay in the messages, samson44. Has the functionality returned to normal at this time? What messaging application are you using?
I'm also having the same problem on multiple Verizon phones when emails are sent from Gmail or iCloud email addresses. The either show up 3 to 18 hours later or we get a message that the Verizon server blocked the connection.
We want all of our services to work for our customers. We are here to help, samson44. What email provider are you using, as well email app? Are you trying to send to one recipient at a time or a group?

I'm having the same issue sending SMS and MMS to both my wife's phone and my phone from GMail. This has been happening for at least a week now and it seems this is a widespread problem. I work in an environment where personal cell phones are not permitted. At times, the only way to communicate immediately with my wife is using GMail to SMS/MMS. I would think a company this large with all of their technical expertise would be able to identify and resolve this issue quickly.

Well, considering the source of these failures is Google, they would be the ones to drive a resolution. And since these Gmail accounts are primarily FREE, there probably isn't much interest in putting resources towards fixing it. It might be faster to have other mail services as backups, e.g. Yahoo Mail, etc. I saw on a Google forum with this issue reported that a users' Yahoo mail worked fine to send a text to vtext.com and/or vzwpix.com. My Comcast mail works fine as well, just NOT Google Mail.
Well, it is t working from my non-free corporate email hosted by Google for gmail and Google apps.
*isn’t working from non-free Google either

Maybe your corporate IT support has a Google support contact that can get a ticket opened for this issue? Might be the best option so far!
TimPa The Vtext.com service is not indented to be used for large volumes of commercial messages. Due to the inherent limitations of Internet email, we are no able to provied assurance regarding the timelineness or receipt of messages sent using this service. Business and organizations looking to send a high volume of messages should subscribe to Verizon Enterprise Messaging.

I am NOT a corporate employee and do NOT send large volumes of commercial or otherwise messages. A SINGLE email to vtext.com or vzwpix.com fails or is delayed from Google Mail.
I switched to sending the MMS texts from my Yahoo email account (instead of Gmail), and now the texts are working again. Thanks for the idea!
This is currenly a known issue. There have been reports of server timeouts/error messages as well as delays in sending messages from Gmail accounts. Messages from Gmail/G suites to VZ consumer domains may be throttled or blocked due to high volumes of malicious messages originating from Gmail email addresses using Google's outbound services. This does not have anything to do with the specific sender, but with the volume of malicious messages received from Gmail as a whole. System enhancements will be going into place on the 23rd that will hopefully help to alleviate the malicious content volume, thereby reducing delays on normal emails from gmail's servers.
Thanks for replying! Can you please write more details or include a link of the changes that will go in effect at the 23rd?
Good morning, buckeyemarty! We definitely want to investigate what exactly is happening. Can you please provide more details as to what happens when you attempt to send an email to SMS/MMS? Do you receive a specific error, if so what is it? You can also use this link if these are one of the errors you are getting: http://spr.ly/6608yP6bY
We understand the importance of being able to access the option to message using your email account. With this being an issue using your email account we do not have a support process in place for this due to it being another service that you are using. However, with this issue are you sending the message to the phone number or email address for the receiving party? I would suggest emailing them using their email address to communicate.
You should tell your chat support and phone support this is a "known issue." I just spent almost an hour on the phone with a tech who didn't know anything about this.
"I would suggest emailing them using their email address to communicate."
This answer reminds me of the "Hee haw doctor" sketch. "Doc, it hurts when do that!" Doctor: "Well, don't do that!"
So when will the issue be fixed? please share the updates with your customers, thank you!
Didn't they say, fix on the 23rd?
I want to ensure that everything is working for you. Can you tell me more about what is happening? Amber
Last night, at midnight and again at 2:30am, I received two email-to-MMS messages send 12 hours earlier and 18 hours earlier respectively. This is not an isolated problem, but it is a fairly recent problem for me.
The email-to-SMS/MMS gateways seem to be the choke point for most of these problems. How hard can it be for Verizon to trace a problematic message through their systems!?
Verizon, are you trying to retire these gateways by providing such poor service that people stop using them, and in that way you can say they were retired due to low usage rather than it being your decision? The gateway technology is rather simplistic as compared to cellular technology; why can't your technicians solve this problem?
Sept. 2022 - Okay so now it's a year later, yikes! Up until a few weeks ago I was sending emails to vzwpix.com & also vtext.com... from my email (Hotmail/Outlook)... with no problem. Suddenly it no longer works??? It does not work from either of my personal computers (one large desktop for my business & one laptop). If my business partner sends (hotmail/outlook) to my phone it works... even when using MY computer, but THEIR log-in! Is there some weird settings that may have changed on MY computers and/or MY log-in? Also, it does work from MY email to my client on their i-phone, even though they also have Verizon service. A very LONG online Verizon "chat session" was NO help at all. They wanted me to do all kinds of weird things to my phone AND my computers... which is utter ridiculous. SO frustrating... would appreciate any assistance or maybe there's some updates in this community, since last year???!!!
Good evening, Luannski! Is this regarding a business account or a consumer account? If it is for a business account, please reach out to them at (800)-922-0204. Their hours of operation are Mon-Fri8:00AM - 8:00PM Local Time and Sat8:00AM - 6:00PM ET.

Happening to me starting a week or two ago...... Works fine using hotmail from the same ISP (vermizon) and same computer.

The real root of this problem isn't exactly due to a problem on Verizon's end. It's due to the fact that spammers are using the availability of free, disposable Gmail accounts to mass spam text people.
They are creating throwaway Gmail accounts, then using them to mass text spam messages to tons of random phone numbers @vzwpix.com at once. From the logs I've seen, it looks like Cloudmark, a service Verizon is using as a spam filter, is getting deluged by these spammers, and blocking Gmail when they're getting hit too hard. See the logs posted that people have received as a reply when their message failed:
The recipient server did not accept our requests to connect. Learn more at https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7720 [vrz-sms.mx.a.cloudfilter.net. 34.200.143.151: 421 vrz-ibgw-5002a.ext.cloudfilter.net cmsmtp Connection refused - tYnwlhJs8gL3j - POL109E -too many sessions from 209.85.XXX.XXX ] [vrz-sms.mx.a.cloudfilter.net. 34.199.121.51:
See that the error message called Cloudfilter. Cloudfilter is a service that serves as a sort of spam filter, and it's apparently what Verizon is using as a spam filter for these VZWPIX messages.
See that bit I put in bold above, that says 'too many sessions'? That means that Cloudfilter is seeing an insane amount of hits above a certain threshold from Google's servers, and that's because spams are abusing both Gmail and VText/VZWPIX to spam random numbers.
If you look at other threads, there is an opposite problem - there are tons of people who have no idea what VZWTEXT even is, they're just sick of getting text spam every hour. Those of us who actually want to use it the way it's intended are actually in the minority.
My advice on what to do right now is to avoid using Gmail if possible for sending stuff to VZWPIX. It is not exactly Verizon's fault that spammers are abusing the free availability of throwaway Gmail accounts and the free service VZWPIX provides.
As for what should change - Gmail should definitely crack down harder on people abusing it. A new account that has zero activity and suddenly starts sending out thousands of emails all of a sudden should be a huge red flag. Unfortunately, even if they shut them down fairly quickly, these spammers probably have hundreds of pre-made accounts that they can instantly switch to and continue. My girlfriend works in cybersecurity, and for a project she was doing for to test spamming techniques, she had to make 60 spam Gmail accounts, and managed to easily do it in a few hours.
So what Google could probably easily do is create a block to prevent users from sending massive amounts of emails to @vzwtext.com addresses all at once (as well as to other carrier equivalents). Verizon, Google, and the other carriers (and other free email providers) should work together on this as an anti-spam initiative.
There are some steps Verizon can make to stop this abuse, as well.
One, 'vzwpix' should be turned off by default, and only turned on if a customer wants the email-to-text functionality. If Verizon (and the other carriers) didn't make it enabled by default, it would stop being a target for spammers.
Another possibility is to change how it works in the first place. Instead of the format being '[email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service]', you should be allowed to set an alias, instead of your mobile number. For example, it could be '[email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service]' instead. That makes it harder for spammers to guess the address - as it stands, they're just randomly generating ten digit numbers with valid area codes.
The problem with this, of course, is that many people have automated alerts already set up that are configured to be in the current format using their phone number.
It's a tricky issue, but it's not so simple to blame it all on Verizon. It's a combination of issues involving spammers, free email accounts, spam filtering, etc. There's a lot of nuance here.
Long story short, for best results, use another email provider for this if you can.
This week I came to realize that I haven't been getting a lot of event notifications to my phone that come from some apps I have that rely upon my @gmail .com senders address. After several hours and many tests, VZ Tier 1 and 2 really haven't been of much help. The info on this thread seems to indicate that issues as far back as 2021 with as others have indicated, resolution expected in June 2021. Seems like they should be able to implement a whitelisting method that would allow known senders texts to be routed through and not lost.
Hello! Thank you for messaging in on Social Media. We want to ensure your email issue gets resolved as soon as possible. We would like to meet in a Private chat to continue. Will this work for you?

So you want us to do your job now? I suggest you reach out to them. It's happening to many people, consumer and business accounts.
If a solution cannot be found then at least say that so we can all move on. But having worked as an IT admin for over 30 years, their is almost always a solution. Not always, but usually.
I'll get off my soap box now. It's just that I have spent way too many hours over too many months looking for a solution with no luck so far.
