JSN100 interesting question! SMS does come on most plans and devices. What kind of device are you using? Have you been having trouble sending or receiving any other text messages?

Thanks Bryan for responding. I'm using an Android Samsung Galaxy 5 and have been getting "failed" when trying to respond "GO" to a text message from Uber.

The mtext message from Uber was from a number only 5 digits long.

Was this problem ever solved? I too have been unable to receive a short code SMS from Uber on my Motorola Moto-X Android phone.
