How do I uninstall Message+ from Windows 10? It doesn't show up in Add/Remove Programs and I can't find it in Program Files or Program Files (x86). It doesn't show up in Revo Uninstaller either.
On my desktop running Windows 10, right clicking on the Windows icon (lower left) and selecting Apps and Features does show the Message+ installed app:
Looking at the Properties of my Message+ app desktop shortcut, I find it located at: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Verizon\Verizon Messages\WinVMAClient.exe".
What version of the desktop Message+ app do you have installed and how did you install it?
crepuscular,
I'm sorry to read that you're having some trouble removing the Verizon Messages +. I'm here to help make sure we get this accomplished. You mentioned Windows 10. I just want to make sure we're on the same page with everything. Is this a computer & if it is, what make/model computer are you using?
I did find this helpful link straight from Microsoft that details how to remove a program. Please click here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028054/windows-10-repair-or-remove-programs Does this link help at all?

That article didn't help one bit. The app doesn't show up in the apps and features pages but everytime I try to install it again it says it's already installed. I want to clear it off my computer completely. Tired of messing with it.
I also got a text message, purportedly from Verizon, that said I "VZW Free Msg: NOTICE - Action required By October 1, 20201. Verizon has detected an older Windows Message+app on one or more devices that will need to be upgraded." I clicked on the link but it asked me to shut down security to upgrade to the latest version. Sounds a bit fishy.

What if you left-click on the windows icon (bottom left), does Message+ show up there? Could be it wasn't uninstalled cleanly/fully and left files behind that the new install sees and doesn't like. What version of M+ did you have installed previously? This thread is three years old and Win10 M+ has been unsupported and unavailable in the Microsoft Store for over a year.

Several/many users have received the error message 'outdated version on primary device' or similar when attempting to install the new Win10 M+ v3.0.0. Some, including me, have found that uninstalling (backing off updates of) the M+ app on the primary device allows the Win10 version to be installed. Then the M+ mobile app can be upgraded to current version without losing messages.
We know how important it is for everything to be set up the way you need it. Was the Message+ app preinstalled on your device when you purchased it?

Being as it's a PC with windows 10 I doubt it was already installed out of the box.
