How do I transfer contacts and pictures from my LG Octane to my Samsung Brightside?

I was told I could insert a micro sdhc card save the data and then put the card in the new phone and use it.

We understand wanting to be able to transfer your data from one device to another LTCRETIRED48. Contacts are not able to be saved to an SD card, but you can definitely save pictures. What trouble are you having with the process? Are you using these steps http://vz.to/2jDuIAt ?
