Wow it's very irritating to receive text messages and not be able to reply to them. Let's look into this together. I'm sure we can get this resolved.
What type of device do you have? Have you recently added or changed any features on the account? Do you or the person sending the text have a signature at the end of the text? By signature I mean any symbols or character faces, an example would be: sent from Tsai's phone. If so please remove the signature. Please delete all old text messages from the person your having the issue with. Check the contact make sure the telephone number is a full 10 digit number (###)###-####.
Please power the device off leave the device off for 15 seconds. Power back on and retry the text message. Let me know if this helps, If not I will be glad to further troubleshoot with you.

I have the lg octane and nothing new has been added to my plan and neither of us have signatures.
