Software update for Lumia with Windows Phone 8 - Nokia
some dudes in Uganda working with electricity from a 1988 Yugo car battery are delivering software updates faster than Verizon.
Take a look at this website.. did it escape from 1997?? The is no excuse, for any of this. I have access to the update.. but when/if Verizon pushes it down I do not trust the update would be smooth.

To put this In perspective: Uganda that has these updates... The top 100 company's in the world have more revenue than Uganda Has GDP. I paid almost as much for my ICON and accessories as the GDP per person in Uganda. Yes I paid full price as my 8x met an early demise. I was assured the Icon would get the 8.1 update. When I went to a VZW store that supposedly had them, based on this website, they had never heard of the ICON. This was on launch day. I should have realized my folly then. I won't make the same mistake again, the communication on this matter is abysmal. Can we at least get some official word?

More Irony.. VZW is on the list of top Revenue... they make 3-5x the revenue of the entire Country of UGANDA, but then again they have this update. I wonder how many people in Uganda are paying more $100/mo for phones?
