Is the phone fully charged? Make sure it's charged by plugging it in for several hours. Is there anything on the screen when you do plug it in?
Press and hold the power button, or the power and volume down buttons together, for up to 30 seconds. Release when you see screen activity.
If that doesn't get you going, take it in to a Verizon store and see if they can revive it. If it's less than a year old, it can be replaced under the manufacturer's warranty.
