Wierd but interesting disscussion question about a wierd thing about the Nokia Lumia Icon.

ilikeverizonwireless

I just found out while doing a little research on the Nokia Lumia Icon, I think I just discovered the only phone that Verizon, who is the only one that sold it, which it may support T-Mobile, Sprint AT&T, and Verizon off course.  I think from the information I learned about the Nokia Lumia Icon, if Nextell or Cingular ( i do not know which one) was still existent today with the same technology of Wireless communication they had, it would even have worked on that network.  Here was the facts I got on the Nokia Lumia Icon's Wireless signal technology support.

Compatible networks

2.5G GSM/GPRS/EDGE – 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
2.5G CDMA 1xRTT/1x-Advanced - 800, 1900 MHz
3G UMTS/DC-HSPA+ – 850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz
3G CDMA Ev-DO Rev. A - 800, 1900 MHz

4G LTE Rel. 8 (UE Cat 3) – 700, 800, 900, 1800, 2100, 2600 MHz

The question is will it actually work on T-Mobile or Sprint?  I actually want to stay with Verizon, but my parents are the ones who pay the bill, I am 19, but I did not go looking for a job yet.  So, the thing is they want to switch out of Verizon.  So would it work on T-mobile or Sprint?  NOTE : IF VERIZON GET THE NOKIA 950, I MIGHT JUST ACTUALLY WHINE AND SOMEHOW GET MY PARENTS TO STAY WITH VERIZON.  HOW ARE THE OUT LOOKS ON THAT TOO?

The Lumia Icon will work on AT&T or T-Mobile, but you might not get LTE speeds. Sprint will NOT activate an Icon on their network.

Verizon will not be getting the Lumia 950 because Microsoft purposely locks down the CDMA bands. Microsoft never bothered to get FCC certification or else Verizon could support it. This phone has a lot of problems and is really only a placeholder until the Microsoft Surface Phone is released in mid-2016.
