The backlight on Samsung Brightside keeps coming on even when the phone is sitting on the table. It does this day and night. The battery is being run down because of this. Is there any solutions to this problem?

see if adaptive or auto display for brightness is enabled. fist see if display brightness is set to auto if so disable it.
