i have a lg exalt lte flip phone. I can hear callers, but they can't hear me. the phone is not on mute.
RUBYDIX33,
It's vitally important to be able to communicate both ways on a phone call, and I'm sorry your Exalt LTE phone is not cooperating. Let's work together and get this addressed for you. It sounds to me like this would be a microphone issue, but I want to make sure. How are your calls if you use a pair of headphones or a Bluetooth headset during a call? If you play music on your device, are there any issues with audio then?
Also, sometimes all that's needed to fix a bug like this is a good old fashioned reboot of the phone. This is as simple as powering it down completely, leaving it off for a couple of minutes, and then powering it back on. Using the instructions here (http://spr.ly/6582EPhgo) please complete this step. Lastly, please ensure your Bluetooth settings are off by using the instructions here (http://spr.ly/6583EPhgU). This is going to confirm there isn't any interference, so we know the call is only coming through the device itself.
We'll be standing by to hear more from you.

My husband and I both are experiencing this issue within the last 2 weeks. Both of us are on Verizon, we have two different phones, and both of us have confirmed mute was not on. We call back and they can hear us the 2nd time (there was one call I had to make 3x's before they heard me). We both have reset our phones numerous times and checked for bluetooth intereference. It is starting to happen with every call (the worst being the 30min wait I was on to only get to someone and they couldn't hear me). It is starting to look like a Verizon network issue.
This is concerning to hear, as it's different numbers we would recommend that you reset the network settings on the device and keep us posted. GenevieveB_VZW
I have been having the same issue. Verizon gave me a signal booster and even though I have full bars it still does this intermittently. Apple gave me a new iPhone 10x Max and it still happens. Were you ever able to get this fixed and if so how or did you switch to another carrier and did that help?
We want you to be able to hold a conversation Steve295. You have reached the right person to help you. Is anyone else having this issue? May I have your nearest intersection and zip code? Are you able to hear other audio on your device? For example YouTube etc. Please provide the make and model of your device too. AmberF_VZW
Mine goes both ways. some times I can't hear the caller but they can hear me some times they can't. and sometimes trying to call out phone says dialing but never has sound of ringing just quiet. has been going on for a week. not just my phone but 3 others and one of them are cricket phone. I have looked at all the post on all the sites with this issue and tried all that has been said. nothing works...

There are a lot of "caller can't hear me, but i can hear them" posted on the site but no solutions. I thought it was my wife’s phone, then thought it was my phone, then we thought the cars Bluetooth, upgraded the Bluetooth on the car, then replaced the car. All have been replaced we still have the problem. Galaxy S9+, and a second Galaxy S9+ and a Galaxy S10+ all have the same problem. It is NOT the phone. It has to be a Verizon issue!!!!!! We have factory reset the phones 3 times. Plus the Galaxy S10+ was started from scratch NO APPS no software, nothing. Did not connect to my gmail account. I manually setup the phone just in case there was an APP issue or something in my settings. All phones still do not work right. This problem is very annoying.
@jcrichton1 ,
We'd always want to know if something was happening with your services, and thank you for those details you have shared, but let's keep going. You listed several devices, but what are you currently using right now that is having this problem? Is it only with one other person, or all callers? Is there any consistency to this happening, and does it matter if you are calling or receiving? Please keep us posted so that we can proceed.

Sitting on hold for tech support now for 20 minutes and still waiting. My new iphone 11 pro, my wifes iphone 10, and my work phone iphone 8, all with WIFI on and off, WIFI call settings on and off, and in my house with all bars and LTE symbol, people cannot hear me on the other end of the call. All 3 phones....?
Verizon reps keep responding with the same answers although people have made it clear that they've tried all the "fixes" Verizon suggests: turn off Bluetooth, reset network settings, turn phone on and off, etc. This is clearly a Verizon issue and not an issue with the phones.--not when people are reporting the problem from brand new iPhones, new Samsung phones--any manufacturer--and I have called and been on tech support for over an hour, but the phone does the same thing. Really sick to death of Verizon not acknowledging that the problem is THEM. I'm switching to another carrier next week. Enough of this garbage!
Did you recently change phones or your sim card? I just had this problem and I used my old sim card in my new phone, it was not compatible with my new phone for some reason. It worked for a I few months but kept getting worse. It's fine since the sim was changed
Problems with most calls; my voice is fuzzy, unclear, I fade in and out, get cut off etc. I can usually hear the other person. Also callers tell me they get other voices cutting into calls.
Briege888, making sure that you are able to have a true quality conversation is essential. I would like to complete some troubleshooting on the device to see if we can rectify the problem. What is the make and model of your device?
VeronicaM_VZW
This is an Alcatel GO Flip V - Black
Product SKU DVFPZ000059
Thank you.
Thanks, Briege888. Do you have a protective film or case on your phone? Is the sound quality the same while on speaker phone?

My name is Bridget
The last 4 digits of my telephone number is 8781.
I have had this same issue for several months now. It doesn't happen on every call, and hanging up and calling them back always fixes the issue for awhile. Also, I've tried to use speaker when this happens but they still can't hear me.
I have tried every fix I could find online multiple times. Resetting app permissions seemed to work for awhile, but now the problem is back.
This problem is with Verizon and needs to be figured out.
Let’s get to the bottom of this. A private message has been sent to assist you further.

I tried to authenticate my account with the link you sent, but kept getting an error that Verizon redirected me too many times. It suggested I clear my cookies, which I did, but it still won't work.
I appreciate you verifying the account for us, DeborahW. Let's continue working on this problem with your device. What are the last 4-digits of the line we are working with? Is there any physical or water damage on the device?
GersonG_VZW

No damage.
That's great to hear, DeborahW. Since the issue doesn't occur with all calls, it's more likely to be a connection issue. Do you know if this affects anyone else nearby?
ZakC_VZW
4 phones! This has happened on 4 different phones and all after an update. Unable to get the problem fixed. Calling in for tech support is useless. Etalk phones are a terrible waste of $.
We definitely want to make sure that your callers can hear you, and are here to help! You mentioned that this issue happened after an update to your devices operating software, and to different phones. Were these phone's all the same model device, or different? Also, after updating the Operating Software did you power the device off, and back on to allow the update to take affect? AlfredoR_VZW
caller cant hear me when i asnwer or i cant here them. i can hear them and they can hear me when iam on speaker phone. How can i fix this
how to fix it
Hello, we can look into this for you. Please send us a Private Note to continue.
We are here to aid you in any way we can. Please send us a Private Note.
Same hear. Was just on phone with agent AGAIN. STILL NO FIX. I might as well switch providers.
We don't want to see you leave and are here to help, 1report. When did this issue begin? Are you having the same issue at multiple locations? Do you know if any other Verizon Wireless customers in the local area are having similar issues? -Chris_M
I am having same issue tonight for the first time, HD voice does not work callers can not hear me at all. I have 3 phones on 3 different verizon accounts and all have exact same issue, galaxy s9+, iphone xr and moto x4. on android, disabling hd voice phone works as normal, but hd voice calls no one can hear me. I spent an hour on chat trying to fix, but all the rep wanted me to do is reset my phone which i will not do. if just one was having the issue it would be reasonable to think phone was issue, however since 3 phones are not working with same problem it has to be the network.
It concerns us to hear that you are having issues with your service. We would like to check the coverage in your area to see if there are any known issues that can be causing this to happen. What is your ZIP code? DavidR_VZW
