Ok, I have been checking over the various forums. This is becoming a MAJOR issue with Verizon. At first, they blamed phones with the Android OS, then various phones. Well, I have the iphone 4 and it has happened to me today. I had someone send me a text. I never received it but got a phone call from the person who did wanting to know what the hell was going on?!?! Now, it just so happens that it was an innocent conversation between friends but I can see how this could be a MAJOR issue in a different circumstance.
Here is what happens, you send a text and it is sent to another random person to whom you text frequently. If that person then lets you know that they are receiving your texts and you attempt to text the person who is sending them, the original wrong recipient gets that too! In essence, you are in a 3-way.
You can delete all your conversations strings to try to prevent it from happening but it will still happen and resurrect your deleted threads. So, everyone BE AWARE!! There is a lawsuit in the making here. Had it had any kind of financial impact on me today, the lawsuit would have begun here.

Hello jenejen,
I've heard rumors of this happening but never really thought that it was possible. I can certainly review your situation and assist in finding a resolution as I am eager to investigate this messaging issue. I have a few questions to ask to get a better understanding of the issue. I have listed them below for your review.
- What software version do you have on your iPhone?
- Was the mobile number that it was sent to another Verizon Wireless number?
- Was the intended number manually entered or was it chosen from your contacts?
- How many phone numbers are stored under the intended recipient?
- How much available memory do you have?
Once you provided the requested info on the questions above then I customize a solution that will meet your needs. I look forward to your response.
Thank you...
