can't basic phones have regular emoticon support like what smartphones would be sending our way? isn't that just a simple software update to push our way? it's pretty hard to communicate with just basic straight text. possible?
basic phone has limitation .....for now memory and processor and graphic .....what you are asking sound easy but not that easy for developer or manufacturer.

i have a basic phone...i'm just asking you guys to add emoticon support to the basic phone OS...via software update perhaps. nothing animated...just the regular ones.. Basic phones have emoticon support...they're just not the correct ones...they're in a language of their own that almost no other person can receive when you send them one.
not asking for anything animated...just the regular emoticons found on verizon smartphones and the online verizon integrated messaging service
V don't make phone they are service provider .you can ask that from manufacturer for that device to see if they willing to do what you asking for (I highly doubt it can be done)
you're half right. they don't make the phones, but the OS is proprietary. and it's verizon...yes this CAN be done.
