receiving same text over and over

Trying to help a co worker with his HTC One M8 windows phone. He has had 2 m8's and had the same problem with both. He will get the same texts over and over coming in over a period of time showing the same time. He has done soft and hard resets. So far, nothing has worked. Any ideas? He is outside his trade in window so that's out.

Is it a regular text message or picture/video message? Which carrier is the other phone sending the text from? Has your friend tried to delete the thread of messages from that particular number? Have they powered off the phone completely to test? Please keep us posted! Thanks!
