I got a new iPhone 12 pro with a 5G Sim card now my calls drop I have no signal this phone literally terrible there is no 5G service anywhere around. Q if the SIM card is changed to 4g will it help ?? Or is the iPhone 12 Pro just a bad purchase??

Ordered 2 iphone 12 pro max for in store pick up. That time has come and gone and order status is ‘waiting to be shipped’. specifically asked for in store pick up. my call quality is terrible...How can fix it?
Voices drop in and out and sound garbled. LTE signal is mostly 2 bars. Using the cell phone field test, my signal is at -107 and as bad as -113. I never had issues when using my 4S on 3G at the same locations (work and home). Switching my phone to 3G only does not work either.
