Choppy conference calling / 3-way

When marking a 3-way phone call, party gets a choppy/helicopter voice. We all have Verizon and no issues when on a "one on one" call. Once you add a third person, at random points, they can get choppy or myself. One individual has already got a new phone and still nothing. A couple of us have apple and a couple have android and can not pinpoint and exact issue other than possibly a bad switch on the network side. At some points we have up to 6-8 people on a conference and someone gets this choppy like signal. If they hang up and call back into the party, it clears up. Anyone else experience this and possible steps to resolve as this is affecting business. Thanks

Yes same problem here when addifor third party, did you find any resolution?

Same here. I wonder why hasn’t Verizon looked into this issue. I frequently use the three way calling feature. bummer!

I"m having the same issues. When I add a third party caller (caller 3) to an existing call, randomly their voice is distorted with a helicoptor type choppiness that will cut each word in several staccato chunks. Myself (caller 1) and the other caller (caller 2) both hear it and caller 3 has no awareness of any audio problems. It will be absent in the call for periods of time, then randomly start happening in the call.

I can make 10 of these calls in a week with 7 of them fine and 3 of them a problem, or the reverse of that, or any combination. No pattern to it. Sometimes we'll hang up and start over and it reappears. Happens to me everywhere - in the car, at home, in other cities, in airports, no pattern. I'm properly updated on software and I'm in the habit of shutting the phone off a couple times a month plus its off when I fly. I am glad to find this forum where others are having the issue.

I called Verizon and they asked me to hit #832 after hanging up on problem calls and this "tags" the call. So I will be doing that. They need 5 of these as a workable sample.

I urge anyone else with this issue to contact Verizon yourself by calling 611 from your phone. Naturally there's a little hogwash that "phones are radios and some degradation of service at high usage times with certain towers, etc" gets tossed your way but wade through it and report. Thanks

This has been the bane of my existence since March. 3 phones later, SAME PROBLEM! Any resolution?

My sister has the same problem. This occurred when all three of us (mom, sis and I)had Apple Phones. I now have a samsung and still happens. It happens every.single.time. only her phone, not my moms, not mine. Exactly same issue; she starts talking and very choppy; we cant understand her. It's sad because the three of us have been conference calling every night, or anytime something major happens, and we've been doing this for well over 10 YEARS. We are going to do this complaint exactly as you describe. Have you had any resolution/communication from Verizon? And ps. All three of us have Verizon. Mom is on my sisters plan, I have my own if that makes a bit of difference.

Verizon, I do not see a response from you and clearly this isnt an isolated problem?

This is primarily a peer-to-peer forum and while reps do respond, it isn't guaranteed and may take a few days. In addition, reps only respond to threads marked as a Question and this one wasn't, unfortunately.

You posted to discussion over 11 months old. The VZW reps that roam this community normally respond to threads marked as a question which this thread is not marked as such.
