I work from home I live approx. 25 miles west of Houston (zip 77441) and signal is really bad at my house and I work from home? Any suggestions? I have 3 lines and considering switching service if signal does not improve.
I live in an old apartment building near Chicago with concrete walls, causing weak signal to the VZW local network. I have Comcast Internet service and use a Verizon Network Extender device which provides my own 'cell tower' in my apartment for great phone service. The Network Extender uses my internet router and connects through my Comcast internet connection to the VZW network. Works great. My son also has one in northern Vermont and my sister in northern Michigan.
CHASTI60, help is here as the last thing we want to see is for you to leave us. What do you experience with your service outside of your home? The reason I ask this question is that we cannot guarantee service in a home or building as there are factors outside of our control that may hinder our signal's ability to penetrate your home. Factors such as foliage, terrain and the materials that the home is made of. As Jav6 stated, he lives in place that has concrete walls. Those types of material will make it very difficult for our signal to get through for service. If you have home internet, it is recommended to use Wi-Fi for your data and calls as you can enable Wi-Fi calling depending on which phone you have. Also, we do offer network extenders but if you have home internet, that will work just fine. I do hope this information helps as we always want you to be our happy customer.
